Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 2 V launched in the US on Cricket and Verizon


HMD Global has announced collaborations with three leading wireless providers in North America – Cricket Wireless and Verizon in the United States and Rogers Communications, Inc. in Canada. As a part of the collaborations, the company is releasing the Nokia 3.1 on Cricket’s 4G LTE network and Nokia 2 V on Verizon. 

The Nokia 3.1 Plus has a 5.99-inch HD+ display, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has a  13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots. It also has an 8-megapixel front camera.

It has a metal matte finish in most part of the back, comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back, has dedicated Dual SIM and microSD slots, and packs a 3500mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life. It packs 2GB LPPDDR3 RAM with 32GB storage that is further expandable up to 400GB with microSD. It packs a fingerprint sensor for security needs.

On the other hand, the Nokia 2 V for Verizon has a 5.5-inch HD display and packs a 4100mAh battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life on a single charge. It is powered by the Snapdragon 425 64-bit Mobile Platform coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage that is further expandable up to 128GB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition. There is an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The Nokia 3.1 Plus will be available in Cricket Wireless stores and on CricketWireless.com from January 25, 2019. It is priced at $159.99 (Rs. 11,375 approx.). The Nokia 2 V will be available in Verizon stores and on VerizonWireless.com starting January 31.
