As the OnePlus 6 India launch is just a day away, the excitement touches its peak for OnePlus fans around the globe. However, before the formal launch, some details about the 6th-gen OnePlus device has been teased on the Internet by the company creating anticipation all around. The OnePlus 6 smartphone is touted to be the fastest smartphone equipping the latest and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
One of the most noticeable changes in OnePlus 6 over its predecessor is its build quality and the ‘Notch’. The OnePlus 6 is expected to feature a 19:9 aspect ratio to fit a notch on top where the front camera and other sensors will reside. The top-notch measures exactly 19.62 x 7.69 mm and will occupy a minimal amount of space in the top-center part of the display. Having said that, you can hide the notch, if you are not a fan.
For those, who is obsessed with speed and a seamless experience, the company will be launching One Plus with a combination of Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB onboard storage. The company will also be retaining their popular alert slider, which is now present on the right side of the phone.
For the first time, OnePlus 6 will feature a glass design that has five printed layers of Nanotech Coating, instead of three, which is a first in the smartphone industry. According to Pete Lau, the additional layers give the back of the device a stronger impression of depth and a premium feel. Moreover, the company also hinted at the water and dust-resistant body in a teaser.
In addition to the Standard OnePlus 6, the company also confirmed the launch of OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition on the same day. It also hinted at a 19:9 display and a unique textured back, which is rumoured to be Kevlar back. OnePlus also confirmed that it will feature design elements inspired from the movie.
OnePlus also announced pop-up events globally, including India. Pop-ups will be held across 8 cities in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata & Ahmedabad in India. On the 21st of May, OnePlus 6 pop-ups will open globally in India, US, China, and Europe. In India, the OnePlus 6 pop-ups will take place between 3:30PM-8PM on 21st May, and between 11AM-7PM on 22nd May.
