Lu Shyue-Ching , Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Chunghwa Telecom: ”Chunghwa Telecom and HTC have enjoyed a long and successful partnership which has contributed to the growth of Taiwan’s mobile telephony market. Smartphones like the HTC Desire have been well received and the premium HTC Desire HD will offer even greater consumer choice, which I believe will add to the growing popularity of the Android OS in Taiwan. Chunghwa Telecom’s emome and HTC will offer consumers more intuitive services and limitless delight. For example, HTCSense.com prevents access to valuable data should you lose your mobile phone, while the mPro mobile briefcase offers backup for your contacts, calendar and email, providing added security and peace of mind.”

Harvey Chang, President and Chief Executive Officer, Taiwan Mobile Co, said: “Location-based and mapping services is one of the hottest areas in mobile applications today, but the actual experience can often be slow and not up to expectations. HTC has anticipated this by delivering mapping functions which not only offers instantaneous map data views and updates, but allows users to manipulate the maps to fit their needs and orientation instead of the other way round. This attention to the small but critical details and user needs is just one of the key ways that HTC and Taiwan Mobile demonstrate care and attention to our customers.”

Yvonne Li, President Far EasTone, said: “The mobile industry is constantly evolving and changing, and users play an important role in shaping these changes. That’s why one of the core tenets of Fareastone’s brand philosophy is being able to continually meet the challenge of meeting their needs by providing even more innovative, interesting and convenient services. This resonates with HTC’s brand commitment, focus on innovation and dedication to providing intuitive and considerate services. We are delighted to be able to offer the HTC Desire Z following the success of the HTC Aria, and are fully committed to this partnership, which we believe will create an even better experience that will touch the hearts of users.”

  • Besides HD video recording, the new HTC Sense also allows you to share photos and videos directly to YouTube or to your big screen TV via DLNA. With a newly created camera experience, people can record HD videos or capture and edit images with a variety of fun camera effects. (it’s like being able to swap lenses and add filters on the fly).
  • With HTC Locations, a new differentiated online mapping experience, people have instant, on-demand mapping without download delays or incurring mobile roaming charges. The HTC Desire HD delivers maps with zero wait, zero dead spots and zero data roaming fees. Have trouble knowing which way to turn when using a map? Relax. Maps on the HTC Desire HD always point you in the right direction.

In fact, Fast Boot takes a mere 10 seconds, so that you’re reading and replying emails as you get off the plane even when your fellow passengers are still waiting for their devices to power on!

HTCSense.com – Making life easy
HTC Sense is a holistic experience based on putting you at the center, by making things work simply the way they should. Now, we’ve expanded that experience online with HTCSense.com, offering a host of benefits from connected services, remote access and control of your mobile phone, and the ability to back up your data, making the HTC user experience a truly intuitive and mobile one.

  • Ever had a moment when you couldn’t locate your phone, or even left a mobile phone somewhere? HTCSense.com gives users peace of mind should this ever occur. You can easily locate a missing phone by triggering the handset to ring loudly, even if it is set to silent, or to flag its location on a map. If the phone’s been lost or stolen, users can remotely lock the phone, forward calls and texts to another phone, send a message to the phone to arrange its return or even remotely wipe all personal data from it.

  • HTCSense.com holds on to all the text messages you send or receive. That way, you can go back in time to easily find that special message. And because this history holds special memories or addresses of some unforgettable spots, HTCSense.com keeps it available even if you get a new phone. And to make your life easier while you’re at your home or office computer, you can receive and send SMS messages without even touching your phone.

  • HTCSense.com also allows users to customize their phones with exclusive HTC content like wallpapers, HTC scenes, sounds or plug-ins for an intuitive mobile experience
