Google is working on a high-end Google Home smart speaker called as “Max”, according to a latest report from 9to5Google. Earlier this month we saw renders of Google Mini smart speaker

The Google Home Max speaker will come with stereo sound, added the report citing two sources. It is said to be a bit bigger than the current Google Home and will be “premium in both design and materials”. Other details about the device are scarce at the moment. The Google Home Max looks like a competitor to Amazon’s Alexa powered Echo and Apple’s HomePod which is set to be released later this year. It is still not clear how much the Google Home Max will cost compared to the $129 Google Home, Amazon’s $99 Echo, or Apple’s $349 HomePod.

Google is all set to announce its new Pixel 2 smartphones at an event on October 4th, however it is unclear whether the Google Home Max will be unveiled at the event.
