Fitbit has announced Ionic, its first smartwatch with support for heart rate sensor,  new relative SpO2 sensor, GPS, on-device dynamic workouts,water resistance up to 50 meters, swim tracking, on-board music, contact-less payments with Fitbit Pay and over 4 days of battery life.

Fitbit also introduced new premium guidance and coaching paid offering that is designed to analyze Fitbit data and activity level to deliver a custom curriculum of workouts, programs, content and other tools tailored to user’s specific goals.

The Fitbit Coach app, which rebrands the current Fitstar Personal Trainer app combines popular dynamic video workouts with new Audio Coaching sessions (available 2018) to increase endurance, speed and form on your schedule. It available on Android, iOS, and Windows devices in Fall 2017 with introductory pricing of $7.99 per month or $39.99 per year.

  • Battery life of 4+ days with normal use, GPS battery life up to 10 hours

The Fitbit Ionic comes in Blue Gray band with Silver Gray case, Slate Blue band with Burnt Orange case and Charcoal band with Smoke Gray case in small and large sizes and is priced at $299.95 (Rs. 19,130 approx.). It is available for order in several countries and ships worldwide beginning October 2017.
