Samsung launched its refreshed version of Galaxy A5 smartphone earlier this month. This smartphone was initially unveiled earlier this year ahead of CES 2017, come with IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance, allowing it to withstand rain, sweat, sand and dust. This smartphone sports a metal frame and 3D glass back which offers them a premium look. It has speaker grill positioned at the right side of the device, which is indeed peculiar.
On the front, Samsung sports a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED display with 16MP camera and the usual set of sensors on the top. Just below the screen, we have a home button with fingerprint sensor integrated into it. Also, we have capacitive button either side of the home button as well. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7880 processor with Mali-T830 GPU.
Looking at the back we have a 16MP rear camera along with LED flash and Samsung branding just below it.
Talking about the software, the Galaxy A5 runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box with its own UI on top. It has 32GB of internal storage. You can also expand it up to 265GB through MicroSD card through dedicated slot.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 also supports Samsung Pay that lets you pay bills as well. In India the company has partnered with Visa, MasterCard and American Express, who act as gateways. It supports several banks.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) come in Black Sky and Gold Sand colors. It carries a price of Rs. 28,990 and is now available across India.
