HTC and Tata Docomo launch the HTC Desire in India

HTC and Tata Docomo have launched the much awaited HTC Desire Android Smartphone in India today. The HTC Desire is also known as a global variant of the Google Nexus One with minor changes in terms of hardware but once get the famous HTC Sense UI on the Desire. The handset is powered by a 1 GHz CPU and sports a 3.7 inch AMOLED Display and a 5MP Camera with Flash.

The handset will come with Android 2.1 OS in India and there is no info about the an update to FroYo or 2.2 at this point

HTC Desire India Price and Availability

The Desire will be available in India at an Market Operating Price of Rs.28900 at all HTC dealers across the country. Tata Docomo Postpaid customers can buy the handset and get free 500 MB data usage every month for 6 months
