Google has announced that it will apply neural machine translation for translations of text in Hindi, Russian, and Vietnamese. Introduced in September last year, Neural machine translation translates whole sentences at a time instead of piece by piece.

It reduces translation errors across its Google Translate service by between 55 percent and 85 percent. Google updated Google Translate app with neural machine translation in November for French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Turkish languages. The support for neural machine translation for the three new languages will be automatically available for Google Translate for Android, iOS, and the web, as well as Google Search and the Google App.

Google said it will introduce neural machine translation to even more languages over the next few weeks.
