Samsung INNOV8 vs Sony Ericsson C905

Put not one but two boiling hot and new devices with an astonishing 8MP camera each, against each other and you’ve got yourself the perfect battle. And it’s a royal one. The INNOV8, Samsung’s latest prodigy when it comes to S60 3rd Edition has just gone head to head against the C905, Sony Ericsson’s beast. It wasn’t an easy fight.

The Samsung Innov8 boosts, aside from its Autofocus 8MP camera, a dual LED flash, a smile and blink detection for awesome picture timing, a video editing suite for better video management, 16GB of internal memory expandable with a microSDHC card, an optical trackpad for better web browsing, 3.5 mm plug for the headphones, HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, a 2.8″ screen to interact with it all and S60 3rd Edition FP2 under the hood. In one word, it’s the do-it-all best packed handset in the world right now.

The Sony Ericsson C905 features similar dimensions to the INNOV8, but a much smaller 2.4″ screen. It has the awesome 8MP screen with the goodness of a Xenon flash AND a LED flash. It also has HSDPA, WiFi, GPS and runs on Sony Ericsson’s proprietary OS.

Here are a few images of both handsets next to each other. Notice the dedicated camera keys on both, but the inappropriate placement of the zomming keys on the left side of INNOV8 whereas the camera buttons are on the right side. Also notice the proprietary port from Sony Ericsson for computer connections and headset, whereas the Samsung uses 3.5mm plug for headsets and a microUSB port for computer connection.
