Reliance LYF phone explodes, company says it is investigating

Smartphones have become playthings these days, however, if not handled with care, these little cute things can prove to be dangerous. Previously, a lot of instances has been reported on mobile explosion including the infamous Galaxy Note 7.

The latest victim of the mobile explosion goes by the name of Tanvir Sadiq, who describe himself as a Political Secretary to the working president of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on his Twitter handle, claimed that his LYF smartphone has exploded and flared up suddenly.

However, the official LYF Twitter handle responded to the Tanvir’s tweet, “Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Kindly DM us your contact details to assist you at the earliest. As discussed we are investigating on this. We will get back to you with further updates.”

Soon after, Reliance’s LYF issued an official statement saying:

LYF range of phones are designed and manufactured with global standards by some of the world’s leading manufacturers of mobile phones… We are concerned about the incident reported in social media and are taking the matter seriously. We are assessing the cause and will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

Moreover, this news comes after the series of mobile explosions that includes Mi 4i, OnePlus One and the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. For safety concerns, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has banned carrying the Galaxy Note 7 from airplanes as well.
