Twitter reportedly initiating talks with Google, Salesforce and others for potential sale

Twitter is reportedly in talks with top tech companies for a potential buyout. A recent report from CNBC says that Google, Salesforce and others are eyeing to acquire the micro blogging site.

The report goes on saying the potential buyers are interested in the user data that Twitter generates, as well as its place as a media company. Meanwhile, TechCrunch also reports that even Microsoft and Verizon are interested in acquiring Twitter. Google

Twitter has been struggling to increase its user base for quite sometime now. The micro blogging site is improving its platform with a number of features and improvements. Earlier this week, Twitter revamped its 140- character limit in a bid to try and appeal to new users, and encourage more activity by existing users. Twitter is also striving to compete with Facebook who is now a behemoth with Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.
