Smartron t.phone Hands On and Photo Gallery

Smartron, which recently received investment from Sachin Tendulkar launched the t.phone smartphone at an event in Hyderabad earlier today, about a couple of months after launching its t-book Windows 10 2-in-1. We managed to check out the smartphone at the event, here are our hands-on impressions of the smartphone and a quick walk through of the specifications in the form of photo gallery.

The t.phone has a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor with Adreno 430 GPU, has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Running on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), it is almost stock and the phone has a 4-megapixel camera on the front with 2µm pixel size for a good low-light performance.

The volume rockers and the power button are present on the right side. The phone measures 158.2×78.2×6.98 mm and weighs 149 grams.

On the left side there is a hybrid dual SIM slot that lets you use the second SIM slot as a microSD slot when required. The phone has 4G LTE connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.1.

On the top there is a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone has  tronx that enables you to access various unique services from Smartron such as t.cloud backup, t.store and t.care customer care service.

The speaker grill is present on the bottom, along with a USB Type-C port. It has noise cancellation technology that is backed by in-built 4 mic array. It also has surround sound supported by the specially designed sound chamber with DTS premium sound & DTS PlayFi.

Even though the back looks like it is made of metal, it is just plastic. Apart from this Orange color. the phone also comes in Silver, Blue and Violet colors.

There is a 13-megapixel camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for quick focus and it uses ISOCELL sensor. It packs a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. It is priced at Rs. 22,999 and will be available from early June.
