Google Maps lets you choose your work and home icons

Google has added a cool customization option that will let you choose the icon that appears for your home and work addresses. The update that bumps the app to version 9.22 adds the ability for users to choose from an array of stickers as their favourite icon for home and work address.

They can choose from different icons for home like an RV, an igloo, a castle, a submarine, a treehouse, a tent and so on. There are 25 different icons to choose from for the home address and 13 for work. In addition, to home and work, Maps will also let you label frequently visited locations.

In order to add an icon, you will have to add your home and work address into Google Maps following which you can open the app, swipe right from the edge and click “Your Places,” to add them. After you have setup the places, you can just type “home”, “work” or “gym” in the search bar to get directions and navigate quickly and easily from wherever you are. You can also manage your labels in “Your Places” as well. You can view saved locations, see places you have visited, and look at any maps you have made.
