HTC has teamed up with Under Armour and announced UA Healthbox at CES 2016. The UA Healthbox is a fitness kit that comprises of UA Band (fitness band), UA Heart Rate(heart rate monitor) and UA Scale (smart scale).
The UA Healthbox is designed and manufactured by HTC and powered by UA Record that serves as the dashboard for daily. The UA Band tracks daily activity, workouts and sleep and sports a 1.36-inch PMOLED monochrome display. It has an LED that indicates heart rate zone when paired with UA Heart Rate. The UA Band which comes in black with a red texture is also water resistant at 2ATM for up to 20 meters of depth.
Moving on, the UA Heart Rate is a compact heart rate monitor with a micro snap technology designed to make it undetectable during workouts. The chest strap and removable sensor helps individuals monitor intensity and train smarter. The UA Heart Rate was created to provide an accurate calculation of calories burned. UA Heart Rate allows you to customize your heart rate zones when it is combined with the UA Record app.
Finally, UA Scale is a Wi-Fi enabled smart scale with a circular design and measures 360mm wide and 35.9mm high. It utilizes a sheet of glass with conductive paint technology that enables weight and body fat percentage readings. The scale can support up to eight users and syncs with the UA Record app for individuals to view trends with weight as part of their overall dashboard. UA Scale comes in black with a red textured underside.
UA HealthBox (including UA Band, UA Heart Rate and UA Scale) is priced at $400. It will be available on January 22 in the U.S with pre-orders beginning today on both HTCand Under Armour websites.UA HealthBox will roll out to additional US retailers in the first quarter and internationally throughout 2016.
