Sony Xperia Z6 Lite with Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 SoC, metal body rumored

Sony Mobile is rumored to be working on the Xperia Z6 Lite smartphone, according to a report from China (Via). The smartphone is expected to be powered by an Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (Snapdragon 618 previously), pack a 5-inch display with 2.5D curved glass and a metal back.

Display resolution is not known yet, but we can expect a 1080p screen since it belongs to the ‘Z6 series’, according to the rumors. Sony introduced the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium and the Xperia Z5 Compact smartphones at the IFA recently, the Xperia Z6 Lite is expected to launch sometime in May along with the Snapdragon 820-powered Xperia Z6 flagship and another smartphone in the Z6 series. The Sony Xperia Z6 Lite is rumored to cost around 2,500 yuan ($385 / Rs. 25,570 approx.).

Sony recently announced a press conference for CES 2016, but it is not expected to introduce new smartphones at the event, but we can expect new smartphones from Sony at the MWC 2016 in February.
