Instagram has just announced that their fast growing network of users has just exceeded 400 million. That shows the power of photos as Instagram is a social network that uses images to send messages across people all over the world.
Instagram has stated that over 75% of the users are people who live outside the US and that over 50% of the last 100 million users that joined the service were from Europe and Asia.
In fact Brazil, Japan and Indonesia were among the top countries from where Instagrammers came from. Along with the addition of users, Instagram is working on adding new features to its app. First we got the addition of videos upto 15 seconds in length. Then we got higher resolution photos and now Instagram has started supporting landscape and portrait shots as well apart from their original square format. The last feature addition however got a lot of criticism from some while it won the hearts of others.
