It is unknown when the Periscope app is intended to launch, but this report is the first indication of any third-party apps actively in development for the much anticipated upcoming Apple TV.

Previous reports have highlighted that games will be the prime focus of the Apple TV and it will also come with a multi-functional remote control. Meanwhile, Periscope recently revealed that it now has over 10 million registered users and sees more than 40 years of video watched per day.
