HTC Smart launching in India today on Airtel

HTC is teaming up with Airtel and Qualcomm to announce to the HTC Smart for India today .  We had posted some news about the launch earlier and apparently HTC is going to do a lot of marketing for the HTC Smart which is based on the Qualcomm BREW platform.  The Smart aims to bring smartphones to the masses and guess what there is even HTC Sense UI on this phone. The Sense UI is mostly found only on high-end HTC devices. We don’t have information about the exact pricing of this handset but we are expecting it to be priced at Rs.10000 and this will mark the entry of HTC into a whole new segment of phones.

This phone was announced first at CES 2010 in Las Vegas and was also seen during MWC 2010

The SMART is already available on O2 UK and Telefonica in Europe
