Oxygen OS with Android Lollipop 5.1 will launch along with OnePlus 2

OnePlus One OxygenOS

As we all know, OnePlus is readying the successor to the OnePlus One and have just made it official that the Oxygen OS running on Android Lollipop 5.1 will debut alongside the OnePlus 2.

Through their forums, they mentioned that Oxygen OS based on the latest version of Android Lollipop will first make its way to the OnePlus 2. They also said that they will be launching a CyanogenMod 12S version based on Lollipop 5.1 as well for the OnePlus One soon.

Additionally they are also working to fix the touchscreen issues that users have reported on both CM as well as Oxygen OSes running on the OnePlus One. This doesn’t mean that OnePlus One users wont get an Oxygen OS build running on Lollipop 5.1. They will get the update but only after the release of the OnePlus 2. However OnePlus does promise to release the update that fixes the touchscreen bug before the release of OP2 itself. They also promise to increase the pace of the updates that will roll-out for the OnePlus 2.
