OnePlus One-1

OnePlus has launched the OnePlus One smartphone in Malaysia finally. It will be available in Malaysia through leading service provider Maxis from its stores without invites. Malaysia also becomes the first country to get the smartphone through stores. It is available through online-only model in all the other countries. It made the smartphone invite-free forever yesterday globally.

OnePlus One will be available through all Maxis outlets across Malaysia starting from tomorrow, 22 April. The 64GB Sandstone Black OnePlus One will be available with the MaxisONE Plan at RM859 and the off contract pricing for the smartphone is RM1199.

It comes with a one year limited warranty with one month free after sales services at Maxis Centres nationwide (including any 1 to 1 device swap until the end of May). Starting mid-May immediate support for the smartphone will be available through all walk-in and collection centers, said the company.

Commenting on the launch, Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, said;

As we grow, it is increasingly important to work with the right partners who will provide the best experience for our users. Going offline is a first for us and we’re very happy to have found a solid partner in Maxis with whom we can take our first steps.

Dushyan Vaithiyanathan, Maxis’ Head of Consumer Business, said:

In the Internet age, we know what our customers crave: the best devices at competitive prices. We are proud to be working with another cool and innovative brand that holds such individuality around the world. With an attractive MaxisONE plan package and a superior data network, our customers can expect nothing short of a thrilling mobile experience.
