Jammu Kashmir Prepaid Subscribers gets an year reprieve


Government has now extended the operations of Prepaid Mobile Services in Jammu Kashmir by an year which was previously banned from Nov 1.

Deputy Director General (DDG), Telecom Enforcement Resources and Monitoring (TERM) Cell, Department of Telecommunications, J&K, D R Paul told PTI in a statement “Permission for the pre-paid mobile service in Jammu and Kashmir has been extended by the central government for one year from February 23, 2010 to 22 February 2011”.

He also added that the permission to extend the Prepaid system has been extended seeing theperformance of the service providers with respect to verification of subscribers and proper security safeguards.
