Apple iPhone 6 the company’s next generation smartphone was launched in India few weeks back starting at Rs. 53,500. We reviewed the smartphone earlier this week, and you can check out the iPhone 6 review here. We introduced our battery test recently, and brought you the battery test for the Galaxy Alpha smartphone last week, here we have the battery test results for the smartphone.

The iPhone 6 has a non-removable 1,810mAh Lithium Polymer battery, which is slightly larger than the iPhone 5’s 1560 mAh battery. It is powered by Apple A8 chip with dual-core custom ARMv8 64-bit cores clocked at 1.4GHz per core and has quad-core PowerVR GX6450 GPU. Let us check out the battery test.

In our call test, the iPhone 6 lasted for 12 and half hours, better than the iPhone 5s.

Battery on the iPhone 6 lasts for 3.2 hours for 3G browsing, better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha that has a 1,860mAh battery.

Wi-Fi browsing

In the Wi-Fi browsing, the iPhone 6 lasts for 9 hours and 5 minutes, same as the iPhone 5s.

Video Playback

Video playback too consumes more battery. The iPhone 6 lasts for 10 hours in our video playback test, behind the iPhone 5s. Large screen and powerful processor might be some of the reasons for this.

Our 24 hour charge rating for the iPhone 6 is 8:43 hours. So the iPhone 6 can be used for 8 hours and 43 minutes straight before you need to find a power source to charge the battery.
