Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core and Snapdragon 208 dual-core processors announced

Qualcomm has announced two new processor in the Snapdragon 200 series. The Snapdragon 210, the company’s latest quad-core processor has multimode 3G/4G LTE Advanced and LTE Dual SIM aimed at entry-level smartphones and tablets. The Snapdragon 208 dual-core processor has multimode 3G and can supports entry-level devices with displays up to qHD resolution. Both these have ARM Cortex A7 CPUs, based on 28nm LP process and have Adreno 304 GPU.

  • Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0

  • eMMC 4.51 SD 3.0 (UHS-I)
  • 3G HSPA+ (up to 42 Mbps) , WCDMA (3C-HSDPA, DC-HSUPA), CDMA1x, EV-DO Rev. B, TD-SCDMA and GSM/EDGE
  • Dual SIM Dual Standby
  • up to 5MP camera support, 720p HD video recording
  • Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 + BLE, NFC and GPS
  • Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0

Both the Snapdragon 210 and Snapdragon 208 SoCs would be available in commercial devices in the first half of 2015. Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) reference tablet based on Snapdragon 210 would also be available in H1 2015.
