Snapdeal rolls out media streaming dongle Teewe, pre-order starts for Rs 1,999


Snapdeal has launched a media streaming dongle, Teewe which will allows users to stream media wirelessly via a smartphone application to their televisions. Priced at Rs 1,999, the HDMI dongle works like Google’s Chromecast that has still not entered Indian markets.

Teewe is a product of Mango Man Consumer Electronics Pvt. It has a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 1.5GHz ARM processor and 1GB of DDR 3 RAM. It works with any TV that has a HDMI Port and needs Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connection to stream. Teewe also allows users to stream content from YouTube and watch downloaded content from their laptops and other storage devices on the TV.

Teewe comes with a Companion Smartphone App (Available on Google Play and Apple App Store) which doubles up as a remote control and the User Interface for content discovery. The service in its current format comes preloaded with content from YouTube, Local Content and other curated content from sources across the Web.
