Motorala’s Android effort for whole China

Motorola has enjoyed good support in China for a long time, thanks to its support to the nation’s homegrown TD-SCDMA 3G technology, and gorgeous looking Win Mobile SURF. Now it has announced not one or two, but three Android high-end handsets for China’s three big carriers.

Touchscreen based, the handsets have a massive 3.7” display with a resolution of 854X480. The respective handsets for the operators are:

  1. Motorola XT800 – China Telecom : Motorola XT800 has an HDMI connector and possibly the winner for the local population. It might have an international appeal in US as running on the same network technology of CDMA.Motorola XT800
  2. Motorola XT701 – China Unicom : Motorola XT701 sure seems like a nice device, with ambient light sensors, HSDPA support and running on Android 2.0.Motorola XT701
  3. Motorola MT710 – China Mobile :Motorola MT710 is running on the country’s own network technology so there seems to be no indication whether it can cross the border.Motorola MT710

The company’s are yet to announce pricing and availability, and no more information seems to appear as of now.
