Samsung Galaxy Golden gets a huge price cut in India, now available for Rs. 29,999

Samsung launched a very peculiar smartphone called as the Samsung Galaxy Golden towards the end of 2013. Samsung had launched the flip smartphone for Rs. 51,900 which was higher than the pricing of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at that time. What was special about the Samsung Galaxy Golden was that it came with two touch displays and it was a flip model smartphone.

It comes with two 3.7inch WVGA displays – one on the front of the phone and other is when you flip the front panel. When you flip the front panel, you also get a few physical buttons in addition to a T9 keyboard. The specifications of the device definitely weren’t top class, but still, having a unique design and gold color, it was priced quite high.

The specifications of the device are as follows

  • 3.7-inch (480 x 800 pixels) dual touch screen Super AMOLED displays
  • 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
  • Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS
  • 8MP rear camera with LED Flash
  • 1.9MP front-facing camera
  • Dimensions: 118 x 59.5 x 15.8 (mm), Weight 179 grams
  • 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio
  • 3G, WiFi  802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS
  • 1.5GB RAM, 16 GB Internal memory, expandable memory with micro SD (up to 64GB)

Today, the Samsung Galaxy Golden has received a huge price cut and the device is available for Rs. 29,999 from Flipkart. This is a huge price cut considering that the phone was on sale for more than Rs. 45,000 sometime back.
