Byond B63 with 4.5-inch qHD screen, Android 4.1 launched for Rs. 9,999

Indian smartphone manufacturer, Byond, has today launched its latest Android powered smartphone. Called the Byond B63, the phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz dual core processor which we can assume to be a MediaTek chip like in other smartphones in this category. The phone runs Android 4.1.1 Jellybean, which means you get to enjoy Google Now and the benefits of Project Butter. There’s built in Dual SIM support as well which lets you keep two SIM cards in active standby.

The display is a large 4.5inch qHD display which should be a good balance between size and being comfortable to hold. There is an 8MP HD autofocus camera and a front VGA camera to enable video calling. 512MB of RAM on the phone should assist with multitasking though it is on the lower side. The inbuilt 4GB of memory is again on the lower side but is easily expandable thanks to the card slot which can take up to 32GB memory cards. The battery is rated at 2,000 mAh which should be sufficient to get you through a work day. The company bundles in a screen guard and a carry case as well. The phone is priced at Rs. 9,999 and provides a lot of bang for the buck.
