Microsoft announces 10.6″ Surface Tablet

At an event in Los Angeles, Microsoft has just announced its first tablet called the Surface. The screen is a 10.6″ unit and is covered by Gorilla Glass. Something unique is that the tablet comes with an inbuilt kickstand.

The tablet measures in at just 9.3mm  and is equipped with a Full USB 2 port. A microSD card slot is included as well. The tablet is encased in a magnesium case with a PVD finish. Liquid metal ensures that the weight remains fairly light at 1.5lbs. 32 and 64GB models will be available. Pretty interesting is the fact that the cover doubles as a full multitouch tablet.
