Is this the Nokia E7 or N98 ?

A new Nokia device has been leaked ant it looks like a E90 Successor and seems also like a N series member on the exterior.  The guys who got of the Proto seem to think it’s the N9 and calling it the N900 successor but they don’t seem to know the difference between Symbian and Maemo / Meego . This device is pretty much running on some version of Symbian . By now we are pretty much sure that the N9 would be a Meego Device and would be the first handheld from Intel-Nokia marriage of Moblin and Maemo.  Interestingly the model number on this  leaked phone says its the N00 while the front says its C0

UPDATE: its the E7 and price is under 500 euros

The rear sports a 8MP Camera along with a Flash

The folks are also hinting at support for 850/1900 MHz 3G Bands

It’s not very clear which family this new leaked baby belongs too .

if you take a look at the pic below posted by french site begeek months ago it was called the N98 back then and there have been reports that the N98 is the E7

Here are some rumored specs of the E7 via iSymbian

- hybrid design (touchscreen and QWERTY)
- 4 rows QWERTY keyboard
- 4 inch AMOLED capacitive tilting touchscreen supporting multitouch and gestures
- (maybe) using snapdragon processor
- 256 MB of RAM
- 1024 MB of ROM
- 16 GB of internal storage
- microSD slot
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- 8 megapixel camera with LED flash (no Xenon, no Carl Zeiss optic)
- HD video recording
- No HDMI output
- Microsoft Office Communicator Suite included
- Symbian^3 goodness
- availability in August or September
- super thin at only around 13.8mm
- anodised aluminium body
- 1200 mAH unremovable built-in battery
- same design philosophy as the N-800

The leaked handset might be a first touchscreen E series handset it the rumors and our speculation is right !

UPDATE :  Even Mobile-Review’s Eldar seems puzzled but he’s calling it the N8-1 or C7-1

    the model no is showing as N00 because the devices that r being tested are addressed as n00 only…

    This won’t be an N-Series device if it’s running Symbian…as it was confirmed by Nokia yesterday that the N8 will be the last N-Series device running on Symbian, after this all N-Series device will run on MeeGo and the X/C Series will have new phones based on Symbian…..

    I am sure this is first touchscreen Eseries device whatever you call it E9 may be or E8?

    Mark my words , it’s surely is Eseries , clues? — lack of carl zeiss lens, Microsoft Office Communicator, No HDMI.

    It is surely E90 successor.

    i guess its some C-series device..nokia N9 is supposed to run on MeeGo and have better features than the N8…and its also writtern on its front tht its C0 ..it seriusly sound like a C-something.. I mean no carl ziess-8 mpix or it may also be an E-series..

    first of all, N8 will not be the last symbian phone, as nokia has UPDATED their statement saying that there will be 3-4 more devices from nseries running Symbian^3
    secondly, this is not an nseries as C0 can be clearly seen on the front and there is also no nseries tag below the nokia logo on the back, as with the C6 or any non-nseries/eseries phone. Nokia wud’nt have avoided carl zeiss on a high end nseries like this, though it stopped making a big difference long back !
    and why it’s not a eseries is because Eseries are built much better in terms of build quality or whatsoever that appears, so E6 or E7 are still to appear.

    SO I CONCLUDE THIS A C-Series Phone, probably the C7

    It is N9 or else it can be E7 ,I can’t surely say but whatever it is it’ll be the best by nokia till the phones they have created.And if it would be more nice when nokia will introduce SUPER AMOLED screen with this phone.

    The latest Nokia E7 Symbian 3 Smartphone runs on Symbian 3 operating system. It’s built with a great list of features. The design seems to be a bit on the safe side though and some may find it a bit dull. It sound quality is good. The display looks really good.
