Ford has just announced their SYNC 3 communication and entertainment system for their vehicles. The Sync 3 system will first roll out on the 2016 models of Ford Escape and Fiesta that will be launched in the market later this year.

The new system is faster and easier to use as it has enhanced response to driver commands as compared to previous generations. The main focus of SYNC is to provide a safe way for drivers to interact with their vehicles without needing to take their eyes off the road.

Mark LaNeve, VP at Ford Motor Corp for US Marketing, Sales and Service said:

“Customers continue to tell us they want this technology, and they want it to be fast and easy to use – like a smartphone. SYNC 3 delivers on that request.”

SYNC 3 features new hardware as well as software to enhance user experience. It features seamless integration of AppLink to allow easy controlling of smartphone apps, Siri, software updates over Wi-Fi etc. SYNC is currently running on over 12 million vehicles and Ford expects to increase that number by a large margin soon.
