Late last year, Uber was banned from India following rape allegations and although the firm has now re-launhced in New Delhi, it comes with a promise of better safety practices. To this effect, the service is planning an update to its app and will launch an in-app panic button and the ability to send details of your trip and current location to up to five individuals. Uber launches in Pune making it the 6th city in India with Uber service

Uber, a popular travel service across the globe, had come to India last year and have been gradually expanded. The latest city that Uber is entering is Pune, Maharastra. Uber is already available in other Indian cities like New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai. Pune is the sixth city in India where Uber is currently available.
