Nokia To Offer NFC On Smartphones From 2011

Anssi Vanjoki has earlier announced that all new smartphones will come with NFC from next year. But according to recent reports, it has been said that only select Nokia’s Symbian^4 smartphones will see NFC from 2011.

Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s executive vice president for markets, has earlier announced that all new smartphones manufactured by the company will come with NFC (Near Field Communication) from next year. But according to recent reports, it has been said that only select Nokia’s Symbian^4 smartphones will see NFC from 2011. NFC is a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology which enables the exchange of data between devices over about a 10 centimeter distance. NFC is primarily aimed at usage in mobile phones.

Nokia today launched it old mobile phone Nokia 6212. This actually is an old mobile phone from the Nokia stable but this time the phone comes with NFC also called as Near Field Communications.
