Google’s Nexus 7 is one of the hottest selling Android tablets right now owing to its attractive price point but it seems that Asus might have cut more than a few corners to make it cheap enough. Users are reporting a whole host of problems and a majority of them seem to involve the touchscreen.

Google has announced it’s first Nexus branded tablet in partnership with Asus and it has announced the price of the 7 inch tablet. Consumers can order the tablet from the Google Play Store directly. The tablet will be available for $199 starting from mid-July. Looks like Google is taking on the Amazon Kindle Fire which is priced exactly the same. Google is expected to announce its first foray into a Nexus branded tablet device. Ahead of the Google I/O event, Modaco has managed to get its hands on the complete spec sheet and product images from the Play Store servers. The tablet will presumably be the first device to run the next generation Android Jelly Bean OS.
