MediaTek has announced Helio G80 in the ‘G series’, which is an enhanced version of the G70 series which was announced last month. It is targeted at budget and mid-range gaming smartphones and features MediaTek’s HyperEngine game technology to boost the mobile gaming experience. It packs dual ARM Cortex-A75 and hexa Cortex-A55 CPUs with the Arm Mali — G52 2EEMC2 with speeds of up to 950MHz and is based on 12nm TSMC FinFET technology.
