Ford V2V

Ford has demoed their experimental vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications technology for the first time in the Asia Pacific region at the Computex 2014 in Taipei. This WiFi-based technology enables cars to transmit data to other similarly equipped cars, including vehicle speed, location and predicted path to warn drivers of potential collision risks and other dangerous situations they may not be able to see yet.
