Volkswagon revealed at CES 2015 that it will launch Android Auto support later this year. The automaker has stated that its next generation modular infotainment platform (MIB II) will include support for Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto.

Google’s Android platform has been the favorite of the OEMs for a long time due to its flexible nature. OEM’s have been able to change and modify the user interface of their Android smartphones without Google’s intervention.
