GIGABYTE has announced its first Made in India (MII) gaming laptop, the GIGABYTE GAMING A16. The GAMING A16 marks the company’s first locally manufactured gaming laptop in India and is powered by AMD Ryzen processors. It is designed for gamers, creators, students, and professionals with AI-ready computing capabilities.
Made in India manufacturing partnership
GIGABYTE has partnered with Dixon Technologies to manufacture the GAMING A16 in India. According to the company, the collaboration combines GIGABYTE’s engineering standards with Dixon’s manufacturing capabilities to produce the Made in India gaming laptop lineup.
To mark the launch, Sinclair Hsiao, Vice President – Global Sales, GIGABYTE, visited India alongside senior executives from the company’s Product Management, Procurement, Materials Planning, and Quality Assurance teams. GIGABYTE said the teams worked with Dixon Technologies throughout the manufacturing process to ensure the laptops meet the company’s global standards for performance, reliability, and quality.
GIGABYTE added that the Made in India initiative supports its plans to expand local manufacturing in India while strengthening its manufacturing capabilities in the country.
While GIGABYTE has not yet revealed the detailed hardware configurations for the Made in India model, the existing global GAMING A16 lineup includes features such as a 16-inch IPS display with up to WQXGA resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 64GB DDR5 RAM, up to 4TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, Dolby Atmos audio, Wi-Fi 6E, and a 76Wh battery.
Pricing and availability
The GIGABYTE GAMING A16 is now available in India. However, GIGABYTE has not yet announced its pricing or detailed hardware configurations. These details are expected to be revealed closer to the rollout.
