Infinix Smart 20 with 6.78″ 120Hz display, 7.7mm sleek design, 5200mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 12499

Infinix has officially expanded its entry-level smartphone lineup in India with the introduction of the Infinix Smart 20, as it had promised. Serving as the successor to the previous Smart 10, the new handset brings updates to the display, battery capacity, and processing hardware, targeting budget-conscious consumers.

Design and Display

The Infinix Smart 20 features a flat 3D texture composite rear panel and measures 7.7mm in thickness. On the front, it sports an upgraded 6.78-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a notable increase from the 6.67-inch panel on its predecessor. The display includes a centered punch-hole cutout that integrates a “Dynamic Bar” software feature for notifications and status tracking.

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate chipset, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The phone includes Infinix’s “MemFusion” technology, allowing users to virtually extend the RAM by an additional 4GB utilizing internal storage. Storage expansion is supported up to 2TB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

The smartphone is backed by a 5,200mAh battery, which the company claims can provide extended standby times. It supports 15W wired charging alongside 5W reverse wired charging capabilities.

Camera and Connectivity

For photography, the device carries an 8MP primary rear camera housed inside a rectangular module alongside a secondary auxiliary lens and an LED flash. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. Software-based features include Super Night Mode, Dual Video, and a dedicated VLOG mode.

On the connectivity front, the device functions on 4G networks and introduces UltraLink, a free offline communication feature designed to allow wireless walkie-talkie-style communication between compatible Infinix devices over distances of up to 1km. Additionally, it features Smart Noise Cancellation for voice calls, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
