Samsung retains global soundbar market leadership for 12th consecutive year

Samsung has maintained its position as the world’s leading soundbar brand for the 12th consecutive year. The company’s ongoing presence at the top of the audio-visual sector corresponds with its broader two-decade tenure as the global leader in television sales.

2025 Market Performance

According to recent research data from Future Source, Samsung accounted for a significant portion of the global soundbar market in 2025. Key metrics from the report include:

  • Global Revenue Share: 21.5%
  • Global Unit Volume: 19.7%

These figures sustain a market leadership streak that originally began in 2014. Samsung attributes its consistent market share to the development of advanced audio technology, immersive sound features, and seamless hardware integration between its soundbars and its proprietary televisions.

2026 Audio Lineup Expansion

Building upon its current market position, Samsung has announced plans to expand its audio portfolio in 2026. The company states that the upcoming product line is aimed at delivering cinema-quality audio tailored to a variety of living environments.

The announced 2026 product lineup includes:

  • HW-Q990H: The new flagship soundbar model, which serves as the direct successor to the previous HW-Q990F.
  • HW-QS90H: A streamlined, all-in-one soundbar system.
  • Music Studio 7 & Music Studio 5: New Wi-Fi connected speakers featuring industrial design by the Bouroullec brothers.

Regarding this, Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics, said:

At Samsung, we take special pride in our soundbar brand and see it as a way to bring premium sound experiences to homes everywhere. Being named the top soundbar brand in the world for the 12th consecutive year is not just a tremendous honor, but a testament to our commitment to premium home entertainment.
