Samsung Electronics announced the global launch of the 13-inch Samsung Color E-Paper (EM13DX), expanding its Color E-Paper lineup that now includes 13-inch, 20-inch, and 32-inch models, with the 32-inch model unveiled last year. The display features a bio-resin housing derived from phytoplankton and uses digital ink technology with ultra-low power consumption as an alternative to printed signage.
The 13-inch model is intended for shelves, counters, tables, and doors where paper signage is common. It is similar in size to A4 paper and offers a 1,600 x 1,200 resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio. The display measures 17.9mm in thickness, weighs 0.9kg with battery, and includes a rechargeable battery, USB Type-C support, and flexible mounting options, enabling deployment without permanent power cables.
The housing is made of 45% recycled plastic and 10% phytoplankton-based bio-resin, verified by UL, reducing carbon emissions by more than 40% compared with conventional plastics. Packaging, including the box, cushion, and accessory box, is made from 100% paper, reflecting sustainability across the product lifecycle.
The 13-inch Color E-Paper maintains static images at zero watts, while updates consume less energy than conventional digital signage. Content can be managed locally through the Samsung E-Paper App (Android and iOS) or remotely via the Samsung VXT cloud platform, which provides tools for hardware settings, troubleshooting, content deployment, and color accuracy preview.

Pricing and Availability
The 13-inch Samsung Color E-Paper (EM13DX) is available globally. Samsung will introduce a 20-inch model at ISE 2026 in Barcelona (Feb. 3–6). Specific pricing information has not been disclosed.
