HONOR has introduced HONOR Watch GS 5, the company’s latest smartwatch in the GS series in China, as the successor to the Watch GS 3, which was introduced back in 2022.
It is the industry’s only smart wearable device supporting research on sudden cardiac arrest screening, says the company. It identifies potential heart health risks and guides users in managing their heart health by detecting the vagus nerve’s ability to regulate heart rate through heart rate deceleration force detection. Simultaneously, the research team also provides professional telephone follow-ups for high-risk users, offering timely health guidance.
The smartwatch supports heart health research, providing comprehensive monitoring of heart status. It offers risk screening and early warning for suspected atrial fibrillation, premature beats, sleep apnea, and irregular heart rhythms. The product also supports 24/7 real-time health monitoring, including heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, and sleep HRV.
HONOR has partnered with Professor Gu Dongfeng’s team to launch a cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk assessment model specifically designed for Chinese individuals. Based on internationally recognized biomedical models, it generates precise and personalized risk assessment results and recommendations.
The watch is just 9.9mm thin and weighs just 26g, featuring an aluminum alloy bezel and a genuine leather strap. Through innovative stacking, it incorporates a high-capacity 495mAh silicon-carbon anode battery that promises up to 23 days of Bluetooth battery life and 9 days of battery life with AOD enabled.

The HONOR Watch GS 5 comes in Black and Khakhi colours with a leather strap costs 699 yuan (US$ 100 / Rs. 9,115 approx.). It is available to order and will go on sale in China starting from January 23rd.
