After teasers, OPPO India has officially announced the upcoming launch of the Reno15 Series, scheduled for January 8, 2026. Positioned as a premium imaging-centric lineup, the series is designed to cater to travel enthusiasts and photographers by combining high-resolution hardware with the company’s new PureTone Technology and a suite of AI-driven editing tools.

The series consists of three distinct models: the Reno15 Pro, the Reno15, and a new addition to the portfolio, the Reno15 Pro Mini.

The series is characterized by the debut of HoloFusion Technology, a design innovation that applies a three-dimensional layered visual effect to an integrated one-piece sculpted glass back.
This is complemented by the Dynamic Stellar Ring Design, a square-ring camera module that creates a halo effect under direct light, designed to blend seamlessly with the phone’s rear panel.
The New Pro Mini and Display Specifications

A notable shift in this generation is the introduction of the Reno15 Pro Mini, targeting the segment of users who prefer a compact form factor without sacrificing high-end specifications.

All models feature a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 10-bit color depth to ensure fluid visuals and power efficiency.
All-Round Armour Body

To address device longevity, OPPO has implemented the All-Round Armour Body across the Reno15 Series. This structural framework relies on two primary innovations:
- Sponge Bionic Cushioning: Inspired by the porous, shock-absorbent nature of sea sponges, this internal structure is designed to dissipate kinetic energy from drops, protecting sensitive internal components.
- Aerospace-Grade Aluminium Frame: This frame provides a 200% increase in yield strength compared to standard plastic frames, contributing to a 36% improvement in overall drop resistance.
The series also carries high-tier environmental resistance ratings. The devices are certified with IP66, IP68 (immersion in 1.5m freshwater for 30 minutes), and IP69 (protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets). Additionally, the charging ports are platinum-coated to prevent corrosion over time.
Design Aesthetics and Dimensions
The color palette for the Reno15 Series draws heavily from natural phenomena:

- Reno15 Pro: Available in Sunset Gold (liquid gold effect) and Cocoa Brown.

- Reno15 Pro Mini: Offered in Cocoa Brown and Glacier White (featuring a 3D ribbon pattern).

- Reno15: Comes in Glacier White, Twilight Blue, and Aurora Blue.
Despite the focus on ruggedness, the series maintains a slim profile. The Reno15 Pro measures 7.65mm in thickness, while the Reno15 Pro Mini offers a lightweight build at 187g. The standard Reno15 varies slightly in thickness between 7.77mm and 7.89mm depending on the specific color finish.
High-Resolution Hardware: 200MP Primary Sensor
The flagship models of the lineup, the OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G and OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G, feature a 200MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera. This high-resolution sensor is designed to maintain image clarity even when subjects are significantly cropped or reframed during post-processing.
To complement the main sensor, the Pro models include a specialized lens system:
- 50MP Telephoto Portrait Camera: Offering a 3.5× optical zoom (approximately 85mm focal length), this lens utilizes telephoto compression to create a natural bokeh effect and bring background elements closer to the subject.
- 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera: With a 100° field of view, this sensor is intended for expansive landscapes and group shots, utilizing “Golden Ultra-Wide Portrait” algorithms to prevent facial distortion at the edges of the frame.
- Ultra-Clear Group Photo: This software feature processes individual faces within a group shot to ensure sharpness and consistent lighting across different depths.
PureTone Technology and AI Integration
A core addition to the Reno15 Series is PureTone Technology. Unlike traditional processing that may aggressively isolate subjects, PureTone analyzes the surrounding environment to balance light and texture. The technology is specifically tuned to handle diverse Indian skin tones, ensuring consistent color reproduction across varying indoor and outdoor lighting conditions.
The series also debuts AI Editor 3.0, which introduces several automated tools:
- AI Portrait Glow: Analyzes scene lighting to apply virtual lighting styles such as Studio, Rim, or Natural light.
- AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo: Converts standard motion shots into stabilized, high-quality slow-motion clips.
- Popout: A creative feature that allows users to isolate subjects into dynamic compositions, giving the appearance of 3D depth for social media content.
Cinematic 4K Video Capabilities
For mobile videographers, the Reno15 Pro models support 4K HDR video recording at 60fps across all integrated cameras—front, main, ultra-wide, and telephoto. This provides visual continuity in terms of color and exposure when switching between focal lengths during a single recording.
The rear main camera further utilizes a Dual Conversion Gain (DCG) system. This single-frame dual-gain approach aims to improve dynamic range and reduce noise in low-light environments while maintaining stable skin tones.
Stabilization and Vlogging Tools
The series features an enhanced Ultra-Steady Video system, combining Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS 2.0) with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on the primary and telephoto lenses. Other creator-focused features include:
- Seamless Camera Switching: Allows users to flip between front and rear cameras while recording without interruptions in exposure.
- Dual-View Video: Enables simultaneous recording from front and rear sensors in various split-screen layouts.
- Multi-Output Capture: Supports taking high-quality stills or motion photos while a video is being recorded.
OPPO Reno15 5G: Standard Edition Specifications
While the Pro models carry the highest specifications, the standard OPPO Reno15 5G brings many of the series’ AI features to a wider demographic. It is equipped with:
- 50MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera.
- 50MP 3.5× Telephoto Portrait Lens.
- 50MP Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera paired with an 8MP rear Ultra-Wide sensor.
- Video Editing 2.0: An on-device suite for trimming, transitions, and beat-synced edits.
The OPPO Reno15 Series will be available in India starting January 8, 2026, with pricing and availability details to be revealed at the launch event. The phones will be sold on Amazon.in, Flipkart, OPPO India online store as well as offline store after the launch.
