After teasers, realme has confirmed the launch of realme 16 Pro Series in India on January 6, 2026. This upcoming iteration of the brand’s “Number Series” aims to combine specialized design elements with high-resolution portrait photography.
Urban Wild Design Collaboration
For this series, realme has renewed its partnership with renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. The resulting “Urban Wild Design” focuses on a blend of natural textures and modern urban aesthetics.
Key design features include:
- Material Innovation: The series introduces an industry-first bio-based organic silicone material.
- Ergonomics: The devices feature handcrafted “all-nature” curves intended to improve in-hand comfort.
- Color Palette: The lineup will be available in four “Master Design” colors: Master Gold, Master Grey, Camellia Pink, and Orchid Purple.
200MP Portrait Imaging and LumaColor Technology

The realme 16 Pro Series places a heavy emphasis on its camera capabilities, specifically targeting portrait photography. The series will feature a 200MP Portrait Master system, powered by the 200MP LumaColor Camera.
The hardware is designed to support:
- High-definition solo and group portraits.
- Refined bokeh effects across multiple focal lengths.
- Natural skin tone reproduction.
At the center of this hardware is the global debut of LumaColor IMAGE, realme’s self-developed portrait imaging technology. According to the company, this software intelligently balances light and color to create visually layered images in various real-world environments. To validate the accuracy of this technology, realme has established the LumaColor IMAGE LAB in collaboration with TÜV R.
The image shows 3.5x and 10x zoom hinting at the return of periscope telephoto camera.

The official launch event on January 6. 2026 will reveal final technical specifications, regional pricing, and availability dates. After the launch the phone will be sold on Flipkart, realme.com and offline stores.
