moto g67 Power Unboxing and First Impressions


motorola launched the moto g67 Power 5G smartphone in ‘g Power series’ in India as the successor to last year’s moto g64 5G today. This gets a faster Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, gets a huge 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery, IP64 ratings and a bigger 6.7-inch screen. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The moto  g67 Power has a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a centre punch-hole, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1050 nits peak brightness. The screen has Corning Gorilla glass 7i protection.

Powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, a major upgrade compared to the Dimenisty 7025 in g64, the phone has up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It runs Android 15, and the company has promised Android 16 update and 3 years of security updates for the phone.

The phone has a 32MP camera inside the punch-hole. There is an earpiece on the top edge which doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone also has Dolby Atmos. It has a slightly thicker bottom bezel, which is fine in the price range.

The power button, which integrates a fingerprint scanner, is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. The dual SIM slot is present on the left side, but it doesn’t have an expansion slot. The 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. The secondary microphone is present on the top and has Dolby Atmos branding.

There is a 50MP rear camera with EIS, along with a 8MP ultra-wide camera with macro option. The phone supports 4K 30fps video recording with all the cameras. Check out some camera samples.

The phone is just 8.6mm thick even with a huge battery, has a vegan leather finish that feels smooth to touch, and also has IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance, and also has MIL-STD 810H certification for military-grade durability. It has a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 30W fast charging with the bundled 33W turbo charger.

Priced at Rs. 15,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB version, it will be available from Flipkart, motorola.in and will also available from retail stores starting from November 12th. With the Rs. 1000 bank discount, the effective price is Rs. 14,999. Full review of the phone will be up soon.
