Motorola Camera now lets you capture images with volume keys, Gallery and Assist gets new features

Motorola has updatedits apps for Moto X, Moto G and Droid phones with new features. The new update for the camera app (v3.2) lets users with Moto X, Moto G, or Droid Ultra capture images using volume keys, instead of touching the screen. Motorola has offered 48 updates since the Moto X launch in August, says the company.

Moto X lets you launch the camera app with two twists of your wrist. The new option to capture images with a physical button is another easy way to capture images quickly. It also brings some bug fixes and is compatible with Motorola smartphones running Android 4.4.2. The Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for Moto G brought manual focus and exposure control.

Motorola Gallery and Assit

Motorola Gallery and Motorola Assist apps have also been updated with new features and the Motorola Active Display app has been updated with performance improvements. Check out the list of new features below.

Motorola Gallery

  • You can drag the scroll bar in camera roll to browse your photos and videos more quickly
  • Updated timeline design shows you even more of your photos and videos
  • Selecting Albums will set it as the default view
  • Notification bar restored on Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini

Motorola Assist

  • If you have multiple Google accounts for calendars, you can now choose which calendars are used for your meeting activity.

Moto Care is now Help

Motorola Active Display (v2.1.5) update for Moto X, Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini fixes some bugs to run more smoothly

Since all these apps are updated through Google Play, users might have already received notifications for the update.
