Zoom has introduced a Unified Context Layer and new AI capabilities across Zoom Workplace, Phone, CX, Spaces, Events and its developer platform at Zoomtopia 2026. The announcements also include administrative controls for AI activity, data handling and deepfake risk detection.
According to Zoom, its Zoom Virtual Agent customer count has increased by 256%. Users who leverage its AI tools report completing tasks twice as fast, with 72% citing high or extremely high business impact, compared with a market average of 63%. Zoom expects to surpass $5 billion in annual revenue in 2026.
Zoom Unified Context Layer connects conversations to work
Zoom’s Unified Context Layer connects conversation history with company documents, data and real-time activity across Zoom and third-party applications. It provides context for AI tools to help users move from conversations to tasks, with configurable controls for how information is accessed and used.

The platform supports integrations through Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and APIs. Zoom’s Search and Ask APIs let external AI assistants query information across Zoom and connected services, while agentic search brings together information from Zoom Meetings, Phone and Chat and more than 40 third-party applications, including ServiceNow, Workday, Google Drive and OneDrive.
My Notes and task completion
Zoom is expanding My Notes with meeting capture, workflow automation and integrations for in-person conversations.
- Follow the meeting: Creates personalized transcripts and summaries for users who miss all or part of a meeting. My Notes can also attend meetings and start automatically.
- Enriched notes: Links shared screens, slides, charts and in-meeting chat to relevant moments in searchable transcripts.
- My Notes Workflows: Sends summaries to Zoom Chat and Salesforce. Users can choose prebuilt workflows for sales, marketing and IT or create custom workflows using natural-language descriptions.

- In-person capture: The DTEN Action Card enables one-press capture of in-person conversations. Bota’s Leaf magnetic card supports phone-based capture, while the Bean wearable enables hands-free recording.
- Zoom for Business Owners: Connects My Notes with Bonsai to help users draft proposals, manage client work and streamline billing.
- ZoomMate Agent Teams: Enables specialized AI agents to work together on tasks.

Zoom is also developing workflows that users can launch from Claude and Codex to automate meeting, chat and phone tasks and update CRM records.
Zoom expands AI integrations and collaboration
Zoom’s MCP servers let developers and AI agents connect with Zoom services. Search and Ask APIs extend access to information across Zoom and connected applications, while integrations with AI assistants provide additional ways to interact with this information.
For meetings, Zoom is adding several AI-powered tools:
- Voice Translator: Translates spoken audio for meeting participants using a synthesized version of the speaker’s voice, with voice cloning to retain the speaker’s vocal identity.

- Touch up my voice: Uses on-device AI to smooth accents in real time without changing what the speaker says or the language they use.
- Pose Correction: Uses on-device AI to make subtle adjustments when a user looks away from the camera.
- Live Meeting Assist: Offers proactive suggestions related to engagement, pacing and clarity.
- Meeting Icebreakers: Generates activities such as word clouds and quizzes within meetings.
- High-frame-rate screen sharing: Supports 60fps sharing, with Enhanced Media add-on support and Ultra HD 2160p resolution.
Zoom Spaces is gaining tools for shared work environments. Zoom Signage adds AI-assisted content generation and scheduling, along with integrations for Power BI, Tableau and Workvivo TV. Bring Your Own Zoom lets users sign in to a shared Zoom Room by scanning a QR code or using the Zoom Workplace app. They can then access their calendars, meetings and contacts, with their session data cleared from the room when they sign out.

Zoom Rooms will also support cross-platform connectivity with Microsoft Teams, including HDMI content sharing, dual displays, 1080p video, a participant roster and read-only chat. Native Zoom Rooms are available on compatible Cisco devices. Zoom is also working with HP and Google on Google Beam for Zoom.
Zoom Chat is being redesigned with a Threads inbox that brings replies together and an Activity page for mentions, reactions and thread activity. The broader interface updates include simplified navigation, account controls and onboarding, alongside a refreshed Zoom Phone interface.

Zoom Phone is adding SMS and call-screening capabilities to its Virtual Agent Receptionist. SMS support can answer common questions about pricing, business hours and availability, and handle quotes, confirmations and follow-ups. Call screening greets callers, gathers their intent and routes calls accordingly.
The WhatsApp for Business integration lets businesses use their existing phone number for messaging in Zoom Phone. Administrators can manage message templates and compliance through the admin portal, while users can handle one-to-one conversations on desktop and mobile.
Zoom CX and Events add AI tools
Zoom CX is adding tools to give businesses more context about customer interactions and automate service experiences.
- Customer Profiles: Provides real-time context across customer channels and interactions.
- CX Insights Transcript Intelligence: Automatically classifies voice, chat and email transcripts. Users can query transcripts in natural language and combine them with operational data such as handling time, queue and outcome.
- Zoom Virtual Agent Kiosk: Offers branded AI self-service experiences for retail environments.
For events, Content Studio turns a single recording into a library of assets in multiple formats and languages. Agentic Event Setup uses AI to help configure event details, sessions and registration. AI Analytics for Events supports natural-language queries, engagement scoring and report generation.
Zoom adds AI governance and deepfake detection
Zoom is introducing additional controls to help organizations manage AI activity and the information used by its tools.
- Centralized AI Management: Gives administrators visibility into AI agents, account policies, activity audits and user-created agents.

- Sensitivity Labels: Integrates with Microsoft Purview to synchronize labels with Zoom Meetings and Whiteboard. Support for additional Zoom Workplace products is planned.

- AI Guardrails: Lets organizations constrain generated information, exclude channels from processing or require human review.
- Deepfake Risk Detection: Analyzes audio and video in real time and provides a confidence indicator to help identify potential deepfakes in scenarios such as hiring, customer experience and meetings.

- Zoom Compliance Manager: Archives AI-generated summaries, notes and documents from My Notes and Zoom Canvas.
