Logitech has officially commenced domestic manufacturing in India, establishing production operations in Manesar, Haryana. The facility marks an expansion of the company’s global supply chain footprint and introduces localized assembly and manufacturing to its established operational network in the country.
Carried out in collaboration with domestic manufacturing partners, the initiative broadens Logitech’s existing presence in India, which includes channel management, local marketing operations, and a Global Capability Center based in Chennai.
The operational shift aligns with the Government of India’s ongoing “Make in India” initiative, which aims to expand indigenous electronic hardware manufacturing.
Alignment with Market Expansion and Digital Infrastructure
The manufacturing setup comes amid sustained growth in India’s computing and digital hardware market. With active internet subscriptions reaching approximately 970 million and annual personal computer shipments approaching 16 million units in 2025, consumer and commercial demand for computer peripherals has expanded steadily.
Under the initial phase of its phased manufacturing roadmap, the Manesar operations will prioritize the production of high-volume peripheral categories, specifically webcams and pointing devices, targeting both professional and home workspace setups.
Logistics and Operational Integration
In addition to expanding domestic output, localized manufacturing is intended to streamline regional distribution networks. Assembling devices domestically reduces shipping distances, lowers associated freight emissions, and shortens lead times across regional logistics channels.
The establishment of local assembly operations also integrates specialized technical functions into the surrounding industrial base, encompassing roles in quality engineering, plant operations, supply chain management, and domestic component vendor integration.

Commenting on the move, Sree Chenincherry, Chief Supply Chain Operations Officer at Logitech, said:
India is a strategically important market for Logitech. Establishing our first local Indian manufacturing footprint brings us one step closer to our Indian customers. We already have a significant presence here across R&D, channel and marketing support. Local assembly and production allow us to enhance operational agility, reduce turnaround times, build supply chain resilience and react faster to the rapidly evolving needs of businesses and everyday users in India. We look forward to collaborating with local partners as we establish this domestic operational capability.
Delphine Donné, VP and General Manager of Personal Work Solutions at Logitech, added:
India plays an important dual role for Logitech globally. It is a fast-growing market for personal work solutions and our Global Capability Center in Chennai supports the development of our design-led, software and AI-enabled hardware. Commencing local manufacturing underscores our commitment to the market and our customers here. Aligning our operational footprint with the ‘Make in India’ vision allows us to bring our global innovation, design excellence and sustainable approach closer to Indian customers than ever before.
