Read It Later is now Pocket, goes free for Android, iPhone and iPad


Read It Later app is now called Pocket that has been updated for Android, iPhone and iPad. The latest version 4.0 has new features including thumbnail images for saved content, Content filter to switch between articles, videos, and images and more. The app is also now free of cost.

New features in Pocket v4.0 for Android, iPhone and iPad

  • Thumbnail images for your saved content, so it’s easier to see what you’ve saved.
  • Lighter and cleaner interface and full-screen reader view to read articles or watch videos from your phone, tablet or browser.
  • New Content Filter makes it easier to see all your saved videos and images in one place.
  • Favorites option to star your favorite content that will always be available when you want to find them.
  • New bulk edit feature and powerful search to organize and find your content easily. Filter by tag, and search for keywords, publications and titles.

It also has Improved syncing, Faster downloading and lot of bug fixes. You can use your existing Read It Later account with Pocket and the Read It Later Free users need it download the new Pocket app separately.
Download Pocket for Android from the Google Play Store and for iPhone and iPad from the Apple iTunes Store for free (previously $2.99). It is also available for Kindle Fire from the Amazon App Store.
