boAt has launched its Kid Series in India, entering the kids’ lifestyle technology category with the Sailor Nav connected smartwatch and Sailor Play wireless headphones.
boAt Sailor Nav: Kids smartwatch
The boAt Sailor Nav is a connected smartwatch for kids that combines location tracking, communication, and safety features. It comes with real-time Google Maps tracking, allowing parents to check a child’s live location when they are at places such as school, a park, or while travelling.
The smartwatch also includes geo-fencing with 5-point satellite positioning, allowing families to create safe zones around frequently visited locations and receive alerts when the child enters or leaves those areas. The smartwatch can be used without requiring children to carry a smartphone.
For communication, the Sailor Nav supports 2-way video and voice calling through a built-in 4G SIM, allowing parents and children to connect directly from the watch. It comes with a 1.4-inch display for viewing video calls, messages, and navigation prompts.
