
Instagram has introduced new Story creation features for content captured using Meta AI glasses. The update adds interactive viewing formats, multi-angle storytelling capabilities, and new editing tools for photos and videos captured using Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta Glasses.
New Story formats
- Spin View: Instagram now supports an interactive Story format that allows viewers to rotate their smartphones to pan through the creator’s full perspective, enabling them to explore the entire scene captured through Meta AI glasses.

- Multi-Cam Stories: Users can combine footage captured using their smartphone and Meta AI glasses into a single Story. The feature automatically synchronizes clips from both devices to display two perspectives simultaneously. This can be used to show hands-on activity captured through the glasses while the creator appears on camera through their smartphone.

New editing tools
Instagram has also introduced native editing tools for Meta AI glasses content within the the Stories editor.
- Expand: Allows users to reframe wide-angle footage and focus on specific areas of a scene, helping keep the primary action within the frame.
- Audio: Provides controls to reduce background noise, enhance voice recordings, and balance environmental audio with voiceovers.
- Speed: Allows users to adjust playback speed to slow down detailed moments or speed up action sequences.

How to access
To use Spin View, Multi-Cam, and the new editing tools, users can follow these steps:
- Open the standard Instagram Stories upload workflow.
- Select photos or videos captured using Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, or Meta Glasses. Compatible media files are identified by a glasses icon in the top-left corner of the the gallery.
- Open the Stories editor and tap the glasses icon alongside the other editing tools.
- Access Spin View, Multi-Cam, and the new editing tools through the dedicated menu displayed at the bottom of the screen.
